Why Weaves Damage Edges
Most women who wear weaves have problems with damage edges. What’s causing all this damage?
- Is it the weave itself?
- The installation?
- The condition your hair is in before you get your weave?
- Or the one who put it in just didn’t know, what the hell they are doing?
Most common weaves are Sewn-Ins, Cap or Wig Weaves & Glue-Ins etc.
Ways to avoid damaging your hair when having your weave installed –

- Make sure your own hair is healthy
- Use of chemicals (relaxers and/or colors) can be harmful if used improperly before your weave installation
- Braiding hair too tight around the edges (not knowing what hair to protect)
- Using glue is not bad, not knowing how to use glue or not knowing how to take glue out IS BAD
- Not caring about your hair in the moment of getting a weave or taking it out is a No No
Weaves can be GREAT for your hair if installed properly, no matter what type of weave you’re getting.
REMEMBER:
YOU HAVE A GOOD WEAVE WHEN – YOU TAKE YOUR WEAVE OUT AND YOUR OWN HAIR STILL LOOKS GREAT
